So, what actually IS MICA?
MICA = Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad.
MICA is a pure marketing-oriented business school, offering courses in Communications and Communications Management.
Conceptualized in the year 1991, it started off as an institute to train professionals for the advertising industry, but soon started to train professionals in related fields – marketing research, media planning and now, brand management. Today MICA’s courses provide training in integrated marketing communication – understanding the consumer, the marketplace, and how to best get business solutions.
While associated with ‘advertising’ and ‘media’ for a long time, MICA has now grown to become a marketing school. Using a number of innovative techniques, such as urban customer studies and Indian Film appreciation, MICAns are able to understand the consumer better than most, and are widely respected in their respective fields.
Granted, MICA does not focus too much on Finance, Operations or HR. We have consciously chosen to tread only along the marketing path and we’re doing exceptionally well here.
