PGPCME: Placements
Just because the course is entrepreneureal in nature does not mean MICA does not offer placements. However, most of the placements are with start-ups and businesses looking to diversify. Clearly, this course is not for those looking for cushy MBA jobs – rather, it is for those who want to help businesses grow and who can innovate. Growth potential is huge in such a scenario.
Placements are in companies of all sizes in the communication industry… It’s not just any other role – the differentiating factor is that PGPCME students take on a different profile – that of ‘Business Development’ which includes vertical ideation and an entrepreneurial profile.
The Continuous Internship Programme sees students working with companies through the length of their course. For the batch of 2007-2008, close to 15 companies visited the campus for recruitment, picking up 70 students in 10 days. The average salary offered to this batch for finals was 3.5+ lakhs per annum.
