PGCP-AM/PR: About the course

The Post-Graduate Certificate Programme in Advertising Management and Public Relations is a one-year long online programme conducted by MICA. The main aim of the programme is to help people working in media and advertising, and wanting to improve their skills.

This programme is conducted in association with Hughes Directway, MICA’s technology partner. The teaching happens via video conferencing accross 45 centers in India. MICA’s own faculty as well as visiting faculty use the VC facility at MICA (or their respective offices) to satellite classes across all these centers to the students.

Who should apply? Working people who want to brush up their skills in advertising and PR, and who feel a certificate with MICA’s name will help them in their career. The special element is the one-week-long campus stay, which has added to the learning experience greatly.

The programme has seen tremendous growth and popularity since inception in 2006. Starting with 24 people in the first batch, it has grown to 56 people in the second batch, and 120 people for the batch starting November 21, 2008. The students are working professionals from across all sectors – media, advertising, gaming, radio and beyond.

The course also has dedicated high-profile clients. For instance, Google India sends 15-20 people annually for the programme. Basically, the programme looks at an upgradation in life with the course content.

Course timings: 07:30 – 09:00 AM on Thursdays and Fridays
60 classes + projects + One-week-stay at MICA

The course fee is 60,000. Read more about the programme here.
